La Ribot was born in Spain and lives in Switzerland. She is usually described as a dancer and choreographer, but she is also a radically trans-disciplinary artist. In her works from the 1980’s to the present day she engages not just with live performance but also with video, writing, the construction of objects and installations. La Ribot received 2019 the Swiss Dance Awards.
