South African performer Ntando Cele has developed various projects in both Africa and Europe since 2005. In 2014, she founded the theatre group Manaka Empowerment Prod. based in Berne, together with Raphael Urweider and Simon Ho. Her work uniquely blurs the boundaries between physical theatre, video installation, stand-up comedy and performance. She uses a mix of humour, charm and exuberance to explore black and white identity, racism, stereotypes and prejudice from different perspectives.
