Internationale tanzmesse nrw in Düsseldorf

Held every two years, the Internationale tanzmesse nrw reunites professionals from more than 50 countries, representing the largest international platform for dance.

The Internationale tanzmesse nrw will run from 29 August to 1 September in Düsseldorf. On this occasion, Pro Helvetia will have a booth in the exhibition halls where different choreographers and Swiss companies will be present (booth n°104 – 1st floor).  The event will also be an opportunity to discover several Swiss productions.

«Still motion» by Asphalt Piloten – 29 August, 17:00
«Still motion» takes place at the interface between visual and performance arts. It examines the human body in its urban habitat. Movement and image are both stripped down to the bare minimum, allowing spectators to immerse themselves in its subtle world.

 «The Wanderers Peace» by Compagnie Nicole Seiler – 30 August, 20:30
«The Wanderers Peace» is a documentary research on the life of German dancer Beatrice Cordua. By looking at the past, the work thoughtfully examines corporeal transformation and also transformation in a historical sense, as related to the field of dance.

«Contre-mondes» by  Alias Compagnie (pitching) – 31 August, 15:30
What visions does the perception of an inexplicable world prompt in us? What fears? What hopes? What desires? «Contre-mondes» questions tangible and intangible reality, the visible and the invisible, the concrete and the ethereal.

«DANSONgs» de Foofwa d’Imobilité / Neopost Foofwa (open studio) – 31 August, 17:00
«DANSONgS» is a new dance form, where poetry and gesture, voice and movement are intertwined. Where a song is based on melody, a «DANSONg» is based purely on bodily musicality. As part of the GLocal project, in which Foofwa d’Imobilité questions his socio-political way of creating, «DANSONgS» will be an opportunity to arouse artistic and ethical partnerships worldwide.

Full programme and tickets are available on Internationale tanzmesse nrw website.
