On this occasion, Pro Helvetia will have a stand (No 304) in the showroom (Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, 900 Boulevard René-Lévesque West) where you can meet Swiss artists. This year, three Swiss productions will be presented at the fringe festival of the Biennial, in the selection Série b hosted by DLD-Daniel Léveillé Danse in partnership with BravoBravo from Geneva. The Série b programme features local artists as well as contemporary Swiss companies. In addition, Compagnia Finzi Pasca has been invited to CINARS and Cie Philippe Saire to the International Arts Festival for Young People.
Cie Sam-Hester/Perrine Valli, «Morning Sun», 13 Nov, 8 pm at Maison de la culture Frontenac
«Morning Sun» is a duet for two women, a small-format piece derived from «Une femme au soleil» and the third in a series of six pieces around the theme of desire. Inspired by the eponymous picture of Edward Hopper, Perrine Valli questions the meaning of otherness and the relationship between two bodies.
This production will be presented as part of an evening double-bill along with «Animal Triste» by Mélanie Demers (CA).
Cie Philippe Saire, «Vacuum», 14 Nov, 8 pm at Maison de la culture du Plateau-Mont-Royal
«Vacuum» generates incredible images and fantastic paintings, an interplay of bodies appearing and disappearing between black holes and dazzling lights.
This production will be presented as part of an evening double-bill along with «This Duet That We’ve Already Done (so many times)» by Frédérick Gravel (CA).
József Trefeli & Gábor Varga, «Jinx 103», 16 Nov, 9:30 pm at Atrium de la Maison du Conseil des arts de Montréal
A dynamic duo between two male dancers who mix rhythms and rituals with contemporary dance and body percussion to create a musical dance delight. József Trefeli and Gábor Varga present their dance performance in a public space while exploring the rhythms and rituals of life in a high-energy, captivating performance.

Compagnia Finzi Pasca, «Icaro», 15 to 17 Nov, 8 pm, Théâtre Saint-Denis
«Icaro» is a solo performance by Daniele Finzi Pasca about an anti-hero who frequently fails, and becomes, every now and then, a winner for a moment. A touching story where emotions and laughter mingle delightfully with theater, poetry and music.
Cie Philippe Saire, «Hocus Pocus», 16 Nov, 10 am & 17 Nov, 11 am at Salle de Concert du Conservatoire
Between two neon lights, two dancers make an unusual appearance. At first, only their backs, elbows and feet can be distinguish. This leads into a playful exploration of appearances and disappearances. A visual tale for young audiences, in which the characters go through a thousand and one adventures.
