VR_I is the result of an encounter between Gilles Jobin and the founders of Artanim, Caecilia Charbonnier and Sylvain Chagué, specialists in motion capture technology and innovative figures of virtual reality. The first time that a choreographer combines dance and immersive virtual reality, where the audience can undergo a unique sensory experience.

Komplizen Reloaded, Cie zeitSprung
16 – 17 March, Temple Allemand in La Chaux-de-Fonds
In a dance that explores social connections and the inherent need for belonging and security, five artists embody the struggle involved in surviving the daily humdrum of life. A scenario of encounters, a show tinged with love, humour and with some surprising twists and turns.
Forever, Tabea Martin (Young audience, from 8 years old)
3 April, TPR Beau-Site in La Chaux-de-Fonds
What do children think about life and death? And eternity? How do they confront existential questions when they are tiny tots? In this piece for young and old, choreographer Tabea Martin brings to the stage the imagination of children, which she transforms into movements for five dancers.
116th Dream, Cie Synergie
3 May, Rue du Concert in Neuchâtel / 4 May, Rue du Progrès 18 in La Chaux-de-Fonds / 5 May, Fondation Perce-Neige in Les Hauts-Geneveys
Young artists whose dance and live music convey the atmosphere of four Bob Dylan songs, in a surreal world inhabited by unlikely characters: an adventurous trip is guaranteed.
Se sentir vivant, (excerpts), Cie Yasmine Hugonnet
15 May, Musée d’art et d’histoire in Neuchâtel
Designed for a museum space, this performance overlaps corporeal communications. Yasmine Hugonnet questions the elements with which we communicate: face, gesture, voice, hands … With the addition of ventriloquism, she narrates the first canto of Dante’s Divine Comedy.
Le récital des postures, Cie Yasmine Hugonnet
22 & 23 May, Temple Allemand in La Chaux-de-Fonds
Honoured with a Swiss dance award in 2017, this piece is a concert for a single instrument: the body. A body that performs different poses dictated by a music score suspended in meditative silence. These poses are held while movement circulates in the audience’s imagination, echoing an inner voice that reverberates on our skin.
Chro no lo gi cal, Cie Yasmine Hugonnet
23 May, TPR Beau-Site in La Chaux-de-Fonds
Can we shout down the movement of time? Go back? Accelerate to the future? Chro no lo gi cal thwarts our preconceptions and plays endlessly with our sense of time and its subjective flow, as well as its objective physical measurement. In the company of two acolytes, Yasmine Hugonnet gives to gesture the power of an irreversible act that can, potentially, reverse everything.
